The light in winter is filled with the spectrum of subtle to brilliant. Even on the coldest days the crispness of the light can help us depart from the fact we are bundled in layers. The other morning before I went and photographed a beautiful new born named Sophia, I stopped by the Guilford Harbor. It was still snowing a little and the morning light was just coming through the thick clouds. The beauty of this light as it kissed the water was a gift. Enjoy the light that surrounds us this time of year. It helps feed our winter souls.
Light…Water…Flow
…these were the words that came to me as I was creating this photo exhibition for the Madison Art Cinema. During the darkest time of the year, I wanted to infuse the walls with light. This exhibition is a celebration of light and the deep beauty discovered within this light.
I want to thank everyone who joined me at the Artist Reception on Saturday, Dec. 12th. If anyone is interested in seeing the exhibit, the Madison Art Cinema is open during screening times. They have a matinee on Wed., Fri.,Sat., and Sun., with evening screenings daily. If available, I would be happy to meet you at the cinema and personally show you the work. “Light…Water…Flow” will be on exhibit until January 14, 2010
Have a peaceful holiday season.
