The Guilford Art Center will be opening  Artistry 2010 on Thursday November 4, 2010, 5-8pm.  The Shoreline ArtsTrail members will also be featured in this year’s Artistry 2010.  Please stop by on Thursday evening to meet the artists and enjoy the incredible selection of artwork.

Over the past few months a group of amazing fabric artists in the Connecticut shoreline area have been working on creating beautiful quilts inspired by my floral photography. The group called Sisters in Cloth invited me to participate in this collaborate.  Over the summer I have met with a few of the artists in their creative spaces to photograph the works in progress.  It is fascinating to see how an artist, working in a completely different medium, interprets another’s work.  The collaboration will culminate in an exhibition this coming January at a venue in New Haven, CT.  I will keep you posted with progress and exhibition information.  Here are a few of the photos taken of the progress.
