NEW BLOG!!!
It’s been awhile and I am grateful to Cathi Bosco from C and D Studios in Madison, CT for encouraging and creatively assisting in revamping this website. Welcome to the refreshed website (still a work in progress!). It’s a good time to get caught up with life and times. Over the past year I have been living in Tulsa OK, exploring a new environment and culture. Different from the quaintness of coastal Connecticut. I have to admit being landlocked is one of the biggest challenges. Having said that…my recent work has been focused on water.
The photographs in Ebb and Flow focus on the universal quality of water and light. Whether Connecticut or Oklahoma, the beauty is found when you wait and watch the light as it moves across the water carried by the wind. These photographs could have been taken anywhere. I am drawn to how light and water interact simply creating shape and beauty. While photographing, I come with no expectations just allowing the light to penetrate and move me. Watching and then it becomes a dance. My body moves and I am in another place, an endless place. Not documenting location, but a moment in time. The camera becomes an extension of me and a vehicle to articulate my vision and feelings. Ebb and Flow is about movement of water…cycles of life…fullness and emptiness…ying and yang…balance and imbalance…here and there…and all the mystery in between.
